Questions & answers

How can we help?

The questions pilgrims and their families ask us most, answered plainly — and if yours isn’t here, a person always answers the phone.

Booking & Payment

  • A booking is confirmed against the first instalment, which varies by package and season. For Umrah departures it is typically a fixed per-pilgrim amount; for Hajj it follows a three-instalment schedule set at registration.

Your seat is held from the moment the first instalment is received and the passport copy is on file — not from the date of enquiry.

  • We accept bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), UPI and cheque. Card payments are available at our office. All payments must be made to the account named on your invoice — we will never ask you to transfer to a personal account.

  • Every price we publish is per person, and it depends on occupancy. A quad price assumes four pilgrims sharing one room; a double price assumes two. A family of four booking a quad pays four times the quad rate, not one.

Children and infants are priced separately — see the child and infant rates on each departure page.

  • Cancellation charges depend on how close to departure the cancellation is made and on what has already been issued in your name — visa, air ticket and hotel booking each become non-refundable at different points.

The exact schedule is set out in the booking terms you receive at registration. Where a refund is due, it is processed to the original payment source.

Visa & Documents

  • Umrah visas are usually issued within 5 to 10 working days of a complete file being submitted. A file is complete when we hold your passport, photographs to specification, the vaccination certificate and the confirmed booking.

Incomplete files are the single most common cause of delay, so submit everything together rather than in stages.

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of travel, with at least two blank pages. A passport that expires sooner will be rejected at the visa stage, so check the date before you book rather than after.

  • The meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination is mandatory for all pilgrims and must be taken at least 10 days before travel. The certificate is part of your visa file.

Other requirements — including seasonal ones — are set by the Saudi Ministry of Health and can change at short notice. We confirm the current list with every group before departure.

  • Saudi regulations now permit women over a specified age to perform Umrah without a mahram, provided they travel as part of an organised group. Women below that age must travel with a mahram.

The threshold has changed more than once in recent years, so please confirm the current position with our team for your specific departure rather than relying on what applied last season.

During the Journey

  • It depends entirely on the package tier. Our closest hotels are a short walk from the Haram gates; Aziziya properties are 4–6 km away and served by shuttle.

Each departure page lists the specific hotels for that group in Makkah and Madinah, with the nights spent at each.

  • Most of our packages include three buffet meals a day with an Indian menu, and the menu tier follows the package tier. Zamzam is provided.

Room service, individual transfers and porter service are not included in any package — they are listed under exclusions on each departure page.

  • Yes. Each group is scheduled one half-day ziyarat in Makkah and one in Madinah, by coach, accompanied by our ground team.

The Makkah itinerary typically covers Jabal al-Nur, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah; the Madinah itinerary covers Masjid Quba, Masjid Qiblatain and the site of Uhud. Timings are set locally around prayer.

  • Tell your group leader first — they know the nearest clinic to your hotel and will accompany you. Both Makkah and Madinah have well-equipped hospitals, and the Haram itself has medical posts at several gates.

Carry your prescriptions in their original packaging, and tell us about any existing condition at booking so the group leader is aware before you travel, not after.
